Senior Design Project

Senior Design Project

Our senior design project focused on developing a soft robotic exoskeleton glove for post-stroke rehabilitation therapy, addressing the critical need for an effective, accessible, and portable solution to restore hand function. Designed to be lightweight, adaptable, and comfortable, the glove assists individuals with hand mobility impairments—caused by strokes, injuries, neurological conditions, or aging—in regaining fine motor skills and grasping strength. By providing controlled finger movement through a motor-driven cable-pulley system, the device prioritizes ease of use, portability, and user comfort for long-term, everyday use.

First Semester

The objective of the first semester of our senior design project was to thoroughly research the problem and existing solutions, develop a clear problem statement, generate innovative concepts, perform a design down-selection, and begin prototyping.

Our entire process and achievements from the first semester are summarized in the PDF on the right.
