Hello!

My name is Mone Sekiguchi and I'm a student at Boston University Studying Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

You came to this page to learn more about who I am outside of engineering. So here we go...

My Life

I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan and lived there for 10 years. I then moved to Northern California (the Bay Area) when I was 10. Now, I'm in Boston, MA studying engineering. My life in Tokyo, the Bay Area and Boston has been different from one another, but they have all been great experiences that have contributed to who I am today. The best part of it all was getting to meet new people, explore many cool and new places, and challenge myself in ways I couldn't have if I had stayed in one place!

Outside of engineering, I love keeping myself busy with various activities. I'm passionate about both playing and watching sports. I'll play or watch anything from ice hockey and soccer to volleyball and skiing, but my favorite is basketball. I played it throughout high school and was also part of a competitive team outside of school.

I also enjoy cooking and baking for others. One of my favorite things to make is cheesecakes, and I love experimenting with recipes to create new dishes that bring happiness to others.

Additionally, I have a deep appreciation for the outdoors. I relish any active outdoor activity, whether it's hiking, kayaking, kneeboarding, and more. Backpacking and skydiving are currently at the top of my bucket list.

Furthermore, I have a strong passion for traveling. Some of my favorite places I've visited so far include Italy, Morocco, and, of course, Japan. I'm eager to explore many different countries, from South Africa to France, and Thailand.
